Nobody home at live Chat !

can no longer receive or send text, pictures? used to be able to no problem until approximately a week ago been trying to fix myself unable to receive help from 8x8 very, very frustrating

User's recommendation: availability to contact technical support extremely poor. when no one available a live chat should say how long until someone helps you.

Poor Customer Service

After being a customer for over 12 years, we are trying to cancel our services because 8x8 was charging more than other VoIP, their service is declining, and their customer service is deplorable. Their staff, IF you can get someone on the phone, is pleasant but completely incapable of solving issues, either because they lack training or lack authority. Their organization is so poorly managed that I'm writing this while waiting on hold for over an hour trying to cancel their service. And this is my third attempt to cancel. They had time, however, to write a lengthy reply to American Express on why I couldn't dispute their charge. Deplorable.

Customer service

Cannot not get 8x8 to answer or call back or even get a live person for chat. I am customer since 2007. In the last year they have gone downhill big time. I am starting to Port my #s out but even that takes weeks and many threats to get the pin code

RIP OFF

I have 8X8 for last 12 years last month I disconnected few lines. The charged early disconnection charges they say that the contact renew every year automatic till dooms day. Whereas, we did not sign any agreement 12 years ago still we are responsible according to them. Plus they keep the CC on file they keep on increasing the prices without prior information to the client.

Business Model based on excessive cancelation fees

After a year of Zero customer service We NEVER received ANY incoming calls as the system never worked. They don't take calls you make a appointment online and they always call after hours or on weekends. Most of my calls were at 5:03-5:05 pm after we left. This is a cancelation company Not a phone company...just a joke.

Unfair Practices

8x8 locks you into a contract and only allows a specific period between specific dates one time a year to end the contract. They auto renew without notifying. Even though they lock you into a minimum of 1-year they change the rates during the contract period. So you can't get out of it but they can increase your cost. They do it and the only notice is on the receipt. When you tell them you want to cancel they charge you cancellation fees equal to the remaining term. They won't provide anything in writing to show you have been canceled as of the end date of the contract. You have to call back between the specific dates which is a few days. If you don't reach someone during that time and they don't respond then it renews again for another year. Repeated requests for written acknowledgement and assurance it will cancel when contract expires are ignored.

User's recommendation: Do not do business with 8x8. Find someone else.

Dont use them. Their customer service is awful, it is all in the Phillipines and you can not understand them.

We drop three or four calls a day, At times we can not dial out. Half of our practice just uses their cell phones because they are tired of the issues. I wish I would have used a local company where I could understand the customer service people. They only seem to try and fix things around the contract renewal time.

Skip the service

after 4 years of intermittent service outages - some 8x8 issues and some ISP issues, they are being really mean about letting me out of the contract. they could skip the hardass small payment and potentially I'd go back to them if my location changes. instead they decided to alienate me and the other 100 businesses I'm friends with (4-200 employees each) do yourself a favor any pay a little extra to get your internet and phone with the same company (cox, uverse, whatever) so you can skip dealing with two different vendors when something goes wrong. just finger pointing and no improvement.

Do not use 8x8

I had 8x8 for several years. I moved my office and my sales person flipped us into Jive because it was about 1/2 of the price. When I canceled my 8x8 service it cost over $1000 to cancel. They automatically renew the contract each year and they will not move on the cancellation charge.

Do not waste your time with this company

I tried to move my phone service to 8x8 and it was terrible. Once I ported my number to them I was not able to receive any calls. I called their customer support and it is the typical customer support service from Philippines were they have no idea what they are doing and cannot help you at all. I spent about 6 hours total on the phone talking with 6 different representatives. No one was able to connect my phone number to my phone on my desk which is really no rocket science. So, I had to ask for the service to be cancelled, and then I started with all the typical problems of cancellations fro these type of companies.

Continue to bill me months after I left, won't refund wont cancel

this is a company without ethics or honesty They say nobody "read" me a cancellation agreement so they have the right to bill me month after month even though I am an ex customer. Beware of 8x8, they are thieves

Worst service ever

Had them for about 1 1/2 years, after about 5 months a customer had pointed out that my auto attendant wasn't working. Ok i call them and asked why people were getting forwarded to 8x8 voicemail service which i never set up and all numbers were supposed to get forwarded to my phone. my phone was never ringing and people were getting sent to 8x8 voicemail and not even letting people leave a message or awaring me. Well that got fixed. months later i get the similiar thing, people were calling and when they were prompted to hit a number and would just disconnect them. next i got logged out of my 8x8, i should never ever be logged out of 8x8. I never said sign out, but somehow they decide when im allowed to be in or out of my account. so i call and raise *** caus for 1 year i never had to put my sign in and password in, even though it logged me out before, all i had to do was hit sign in. Well recently after getting one of my customers who handed out numerous cards in her community, she awared me for her 3rd time about my auto attendant and i have emails from her about this. She first had to contact me through my website to aware me, then she just contacted me through my cell cause after that incident i provided her with it. the last time i called about being logged out and couldnt get back in and a problem with one of my 2 numbers still bringing people to 8x8 voicemail and not letting them do anything. The tech fixed my sign in and also fixed the other issues, i verified the other issues was fixed while on the phone with him by calling my other from my other phone. well today you hit a prompt number just to hear ty for using auto attendant good bye, click. This *** has really damaged me throughout the time. How could i survive with my business if my phone don't ring. i am writing this review cause i don't want people to think i was just crazy for my next actions. This company has not just damaged me, but has destroyed my little start up company. Destroyed. How could i possibly go on from this point further? it was very simple, i give them money, they give me remote numbers and forward them to my cell. That simple. They have cost me my business, there is no turning it around from this point. never mind financially costing me. Their fees aren't much, it the lost ROI when i advertised that was lost over their garbage service. Over 9k last year in advertising and 1 phone call. maybe if my phone service was operating like it should, maybe i would of actually got calls and not thought it was from just bad advertising ventures. put financially burden aside, just the mental damage this has bestowed upon me. I truly hate waking up everyday, struggling to make my phone ring. When my phone rings its a 95% sales rate, that's when it rings. Lets me rephrase that, i pray not to wake up every day. I am not a silver spoon kid with unlimited resources, i started my business with a decent capitol, just to have a phone service literally destroy me. a simple forwarding of my calls. 8x8 primary business and to provide ghosting numbers to get forwarded, and they cant do that. and have cost me my business and hopefully my life.

Terrible service stay away

I decided to move my number from 8x8 to another carrier. After more than 3 hours on the phone during 5 calls with 8x8 and my new carrier they have still not ported my number.

They just don't care.

I submitted a request for a quote on their website twice and received no reply. I emailed a complaint and was assigned a rep a week later. He made an appointment to demo the software and didn't show up. I said, fine, just send a quote. It took a month for him to send me the quote and it was for the wrong plan and had exorbitant setup fees. I asked for a corrected quote... three weeks ago. He has yet to respond. I emailed his manager.. no response. I contacted their Facebook and requested a new rep.. no new rep. Basically I've been sitting in my hand with my credit card waiting to give them money for nearly a full quarter. We're only going to buy like 10 licenses but come on.. if you don't want our business, say so, don't just blow us off.

Spotty service

For nearly a year we’ve tried to get 8x8 to resolve an issue where incoming calls would not pick up. Each time this occurred they claimed to have fixed the issue only for it to return in a few days. We finally switched to another vendor only to have 8x8 try to charge us a $1000 early termination fee. They don’t provide a reliable service and have very poor support.
